top 20 results
i love him. i don't think he's doing the couples' choreography this year, which sucks
then they do the calling out of three couples, showing last night, and then the results
Bottom 3 Couples- Kourtni & Matt, Rayven & Jamie, Jessica & Will
they do their solos
performances by the Pussycat Dolls, and some Popper dancer guy
then the judges come back with their decisions.
i kind of like how they do that, where the judges have a say, because otherwise some really good people could be kicked off, but the judges base it on talent
in the end, rayven and jamie are eliminated (i don't like that it was a whole couple, but whatever) there's no new couple swaps this week. i like those though, i hope there's lots-o-drama!
top 20
starting:::::
Rayven and Jamie: hip hop: Napoleon and Tabitha
what's with shane sparks leaving and N&T coming?
i liked it, it wasn't great in the beginning though. jamie got pants in the middle we saw stuff that... um... yeah. they were okay
Susie and Marquis: smooth waltz: Hunter Johnson
i didn't like that susie was there; i didn't think her audition was good, but their waltz, i thought, was amazing. just great. and they messed up a lift, but it didn't matter, they were great. great lines too, for a salsa dancer
Kourtni Lind and Matt: Jazz: Mandy Moore
i really like mandy moore ((not the singer/actor)) K&M are both contemporary dancers. the dance was weird, they were like fighting over a giant diamond or something... then it became just sparkles in the end. i don't like when dancers throw glitter, it freaks me out.
Chelsea Trail and Thayne: cha cha: tony meredith and melanie
thayne smiles way too big for my liking. kind of like benji, but i'm in love with benji and thayne just freaks me out. i usually don't watch the dances like the tango, cha cha, stuff like that. so i saw it, but not really, i guess they were good.
Chelsea Hightower and Mark: contemporary: Mia Michaels
i love mia. mark is a contemporary dancer, so mia had high hopes, but she said she didn't think he was very good at first. i LOVED THIS PIECE. like... it was creepy. she said tim burton's wedding, i can see that because it was scary. now i want to watch it again. like, i loved it.
Kherington and Twich ((Twitchington)): broadway: tice DiOrio
they were crazy too. so much running and craziness, i loved it
Comfort and Chris: jive: tony meredith and melanie
i don't like comfort. i don't i don't! i didn't really watch them, but i know that as a hip hop/krump dancer, comfort was like really girly. she was like "i'm just wearing bra, panties, and beads!" or something like that... i don't like her, but you know she's gonna be there forever
Katee and Joshua: hip hop: Napoleon and Tabitha
i love them. joshua is my favorite guy dancer this season, for realz. they danced to No Air (jordin sparks). they were like crazy. i wanna watch this again too. at the end they did this thing with his jacket, and she ended up wearing it inside out. me and Sister tried it, we got it! lol. i love them.
Jessica and Will: tango: Hunter Johnson (isn't there a Hunter Johnson our grade at school?)
i don't watch the tangos, plus i don't like them. so no.
Courtney Galiano and Gev: disco: Doriana Sanchez
i didn't like the disco either. i like courney, not so much gev. i keep remembering neil and sarahs's disco, wayyy better, so i d din't like C&G.
results will be a different post, i've decided.
shear genius
i've watched the first one
i don't really get the point of it.
i like it though. i remember watching the first season a long time ago. prolly the marathon before the finale, now that i think of it. that black guy won. it was probably the first time i watched Bravo, so there...
so yeah, watch if you want, Parker's my favorite right now. i pick favorites way too early, usually based on hair fierceness and gayness.
lol.
finale pt. 1 and 2
and lisa cut her hair
they had to make a meal, i think probably with puerto rican influences, but maybe not
i don't remember! but antonia was out
now it's just richard, stephanie, and lisa
how is lisa still there? i still don't get that part...
they had to make a huge meal
and they got help. or maybe that was before... crap i'm mixing up the two finale shows. whatever.
oh yeah, they got whole pigs. ewwwwwww!
and they got help from old contestants. crap, i think antonia was there for the pig.
but then she was out.
and richard "choked" on the last challenge, didn't do so hot
i seriously thought for a second that lisa could win. i would have killed myself
i wanted richard to win so bad
but it was stephanie
which is still good
the top two in the beginning were rich and steph, so that's good
so yeah, congrats stephanie!
FINALE
simon said that archie totally creamed cook on the first night, then came back and said that it wasn't like that at all
i think he found out the results, didn't want to sound like a tard, and took it back. to late, you did sound like a tard simon.
the whole results show i was like "omg, what if cook does win, and beats little archie, the favorite since day one?"
AND IT HAPPENED
and i knew that cook could do it, knew it knew it knew it. if you'll recall my prediction about the dark horse. i think top 24. yeah, i was right.
beat that!
sorry archie, but you suck!
YEAH!!!
STARTING SOOON!
HOW CAN THAT BE, WHEN THEY HAVE SHEAR GENIUS ON WEDNESDAYS?
IT'S ON AT 8!
WHAT??!!
THAT'S RIGHT, 8!
SO WATCH OUT! IT'S COMMING!!!
WOOOO!
SKINNY
IBI KASLIKthis book is about a recovering anorexic and her younger sister
though i use the word 'recovering' loosely, because she's not getting better
it's kind of about the mindset, and going crazy, and her relationship, or lack there of, with her father...
manno, i sound smart!
giselle (anorexic med student) and holly (track star younger sister) each tell the story, alternating chapters.
the whole book i was like, "jeez, just get better already, stop making yourself sick!" but no one ever listens to me, do they?
the ending was sad, but somehow not, in a way.
so Skinny is a good book, but it seemed to drag on just a bit at the end for me. maybe it's just me... anyway, it's good
CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY
ALLY CARTERthe sequel to I'D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU, BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU
long title...
so i love these books.
about the spy school for girls
but after Cammie's insident with Josh in the first book, rules are changing
and boys come to the Acadamy.
i like the dry humor in this, but it's not too much. and it's realistic, if there really was a school for spys, that is.
some of it's just like, holy crap, how are they that smart. because they're all like geniuses. it's creepy. so no one really knows who's the bad guys until the end, the rest of the time the girls are blaming the guys. and you hear more about cammie's father, and Mr. Solomon, and... everyone else
so read it! but read the first one first, or you won't get it
THE CITY OF EMBER
JEANNE DUPRAUso everyone in history has read this and i was like, nooooo, but then i did because my sister told me to. it wasn't as bad as i expected.
so... idk if y'all have read it
this crappy town is living with like darkness, and the lightbulbs are dieing. because they've been down there wayy too long. and so Doon and... crap... wait... Lina have to save it
and i just found a movie trailer! it comes out this october. coool...
so yeah, and there's troubles and liers and other such bad things.
i don't really know what to say
except that the mayor is a jerk and he's dumb.
other than that...
no. it was good, so read it if you haven't, but everyone on the face of the earth has, so whatever.

SO HARD TO SAY
ALEX SANCHEZthere's lots of spanish in this book. good review for me. plus there's a glossary in the back. but i knew some things.
all of the people are mexican, except for frederick when he moves there. from 'sconsin! yeah! apparently he's reallly white... lol
and xio (C.O.) is madly in love with him.
then he kind of realizes he's gay.
so he has this girlfriend that he doesn't really like, and he's got some stuff to figure out.
kids in this book are mean. espessially to Iggy (loves the name) who's also gay.
so yeah, it's a good book. maybe not a favorite... but i liked it
i think i read it tooo fast though. ((i.e. one afternoon)) when i read books too fast, then it's like a void in me, and all i think is about that book and it's kind of scary. so i try not to do that. but it happens.
and i've gone to the library. got 4 books. plus put 3 on hold and 1's already in. but since i've finished one, i still have 4.
i love reading.
and i don't want to read Sphere, but i might... just for you "M"...

steaks and frozen scallops
Quickfire Challenge: At a meat packing warehouse, each chef is given twenty minutes to butcher and clean seven "tomahawk chops" from an aged side of beef. Then, at the Top Chef kitchen, they are given an additional thirty minutes to prepare two of the chops to the guest judge's preference- medium-rare. i think the whole butchering of the meat was GROSSSSSS
The Best: Antonia, Lisa, Spike
The Worst: Richard and Stephanie
WINNER: Spike WHAT!?!
Elimination Challenge: Each chef had to create an appetizer and an entree and work the line at Rick Tramonto's Steak & Seafood restaurant. The Quickfire winner was able to select two proteins to use for his or her dishes, disallowing the other chefs to use those proteins.
WINNER: Stephanie (Sweetbreads with golden raisins, fennel and pine nuts; Beef tenderloin with wild mushrooms and apple sauce)
ELIMINATED: Spike (Seared scallops with hearts of palm and oyster mushrooms; Tomahawk chop, sweet potato puree, Brussels sprouts, and cipollinis) hahahaha. he should have realized that frozen scallops are gross. i might eat them, but a top chef shouldn't. plus, then he scolded the guest judge for having them in his kitchen, yeah, but... you used them.
finally, restaurants
Quickfire Challenge: Taking turns, each chef would spend the same amount of time manning the egg station during the busy breakfast hours at Lou Mitchell's. The chef's performance would be judged by both Tom Colicchio and the restaurant's owner, based on who she'd be most likely to hire.
The Best: Antonia and Dale
The Worst: No worst chefs were named.
WINNER: Antonia
Elimination Challenge: For the standard "Restaurant Wars" challenge, the chefs had to open up a restaurant in teams of three for a dinner service, consisting of three courses with two selections for each for approximately 35 guests the next day. The winner would be judged based on both the normal judges and comment cards filled out by the patrons. Each team had $1,500 to spend on food, and $5,000 from Pier 1 Imports for decor. The winner of the Quickfire would be able to select his or her teammates for the challenge. One chef from each team was to assist in front of the house duties along with additional waitstaff. Midway through the challenge, each team's executive chef was allowed to select one additional assisting chef from the last four that were eliminated from the show; Antonia chose Nikki and Dale chose Jennifer.
"Warehouse Kitchen": Antonia, Richard, Stephanie; Nikki those 3 are probably the best
1st Course: Beet salad with goat cheese and Ras el Hanout Spices, Linguine and clams with sausage and horseradish crème fraîche
2nd Course: Trout with cauliflower, Lamb loin and braised lamb shank
3rd Course: Gorgonzola cheesecake with sweet potato puree and concord grape sauce, Banana “scallops” with banana guacamole and chocolate ice cream richard does banana scallops every episode. what's up?
"Mai Buddha": Dale, Lisa, Spike; Jennifer bad team mates, man. except jen, i liked her
1st Course: Spicy coconut shrimp laksa, Pork and pickled plum pot stickers
2nd Course: Braised short ribs with pickled red cabbage and apple basil salad, Butterscotch miso scallops, spicy eggplant and pickled long beans
3rd Course: Halo-halo with cantaloupe, coconut, kiwi, avocado and candied nuts, Mango sticky rice with toasted coconut
WINNER: Stephanie of "Warehouse Kitchen"
ELIMINATED: Dale of "Mai Buddha" mwaaaa haaaa haaa! i hated dale
um... episode 10
Quickfire Challenge: The chefs are given 45 minutes to create a modern take on a salad using fresh produce and items from the Top Chef pantry.
The Best: Antonia, Dale, Spike
The Worst: Lisa, Richard, Stephanie
WINNER: Spike ("Sensual Beef Salad" with pineapple, radish, cucumber and skirt steak)
Elimination Challenge: Chefs are challenged to create a healthy, delicious, and filling box lunch meal for the members of the Chicago police academy. The meal must contain at least one ingredient from each of the the following categories: whole grain, lean protein, fruit and vegetable. Any final preparation step (such as microwaving) must be completed by the diners. The Quickfire winner (Spike) is given ten additional minutes to shop, and first choice of each of the four required ingredients, which the other chefs are then not permitted to use. (Spike chose bread, chicken, tomato, and lettuce as his exclusive ingredients.) he just used the win to make everyone else mad, but not really help him. his food sucked anyway, because he just such simple ingredients just to hurt the others. which it kind of didn't...
WINNER: Dale (Lemongrass bison cabbage wrap with brown rice and herb salad)
ELIMINATED: Andrew (Salmon roll with parsnip-pine nut "rice" and pickled ginger wasabi) the kid didn't actually use rice, so he didn't have a whole grain. dumb. i loved andrew
wedding wars!
Quickfire Challenge: The chefs draw knives to split into two teams of four and are put to a mis en place relay race. One person from each team must supreme oranges (Antonia/Lisa), turn artichokes (Andrew/Spike), fillet monkfish (Richard/Dale), and create mayonnaise from scratch (Stephanie/Nikki). Each chef must receive approval from Tom before the next person on their team can begin their task. i love the relay races. last season's was soo much easier though, this seemed hard.
Winning Team: Andrew, Antonia, Richard, Stephanie they were behind at first, but andrew rocked the artichokes and stuff...
Losing Team: Dale, Lisa, Nikki, Spike
From this point on, the winner(s) of the Quickfire Challenge will no longer receive immunity from elimination. buhbuhbuhbuuuuhhhh
Elimination Challenge: Instead of the usual "Restaurant Wars" challenge, the teams are challenged to "Wedding Wars": the two teams must cater a 250-guest wedding (125 guests to be served per team) for a couple who own a restaurant and wedding facility. Each team will prepare a different menu, one team responsible for meeting the bride's requests, while the other for the groom; this selection is given to the team that won the Quickfire Challenge. The wedding is to take place the next day, and the teams are given 30 minutes to discuss the menu with the bride or groom, 30 minutes to plan, $3000 to shop at a large food warehouse and $2000 at Whole Foods Market, and 14 hours (through the night) of preparation time in the Top Chef kitchen followed by additional preparation time at the banquet. since nikki does italian, what the groom likes, she was in charge of her team, with dale, lisa... others... richard, andrew, steph, (others) were like southern with the bride. they had to stay up all night, and they all reacted differently. andrew stopped talking (shock!). antonia's face was like frozen all grumpy for hours :(O. lol.
both teams made cakes too. lisa's groom cake was hideous, looked like brown poop piles, stephanie's was pretty good, considering she had not very long to make it.
WINNER: Richard & Stephanie, of the Bride's team yeah, richard won, but he gave it to stephanie because she made teh cake or something. they split the $2000 crate and barrel prize, too.
ELIMINATED: Nikki, of the Groom's team their whole team was disfunctional, dale was a jerk, lisa's annoying, spike, bad. the food turned out bad, nikki was the leader, so she was out.
ep. 7. common threads. ((works with kids))
The Best: Antonia, Dale, Richard
The Worst: Lisa, Mark, Stephanie
WINNER: Antonia (Rice Salad with Skirt Steak, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes)
Elimination Challenge: The contestants are told to make a healthy, simple and flavorful meal for a family of four, using only $10. Meal preparation would take place at the Washburn Culinary Institute. There, each chef is then paired with a child from the Common Threads program who will participate in preparing the dish and will be responsible for explaining the dish to fellow children from the program during the tasting. those kids were soo cute! spike's kid sliced himself with a peeler in like the first two minutes. some were real helpful, some of the chefs didn't really seem to want the help from their kid. andrew is funny with children, yet he shouldn't be allowed to be around them.. it may be unsafe.
WINNER: Antonia (Stir Fry Whole Wheat Noodles with Bok Choy, Chicken, Edamame & Cilantro) she cried about missing her daughter like this whole episode, you knew she was gonna win. she told her daughter some dumm joke over the phone. girl didn't really seem to get it though, maybe it was too advanced.
ELIMINATED: Mark (Roasted Vegetables in Red Curry with Cucumber Salad & Garlic Naan) he didn't really listen to what kids like to eat, he just made what mark wanted to make, and that was it. i liked him, but he wasn't the best chef.
improv
Quickfire Challenge: Each chef is to make a dessert that will please the judges. The winner will receive immunity in the next challenge and have his or her Quickfire recipe placed in the Top Chef cookbook.
The Best: Dale, Lisa, Richard
The Worst: Antonia, Mark, Spike
WINNER: Richard (Banana scallops with banana guacamole and chocolate ice cream) he's like, really good
Elimination Challenge: The chefs attend a performance of the improvisational comedy troupe, Second City. During the performance, the Second City actors obtain combinations of a color, emotion, and ingredient from the audience, creating five descriptions for meals that the chefs are then to prepare. The chefs freely split into teams and select the order for the courses, and, as they discover during cooking, are unable to use electric mixers or food processors as they have been removed from the Top Chef kitchen for this challenge. The chefs also discover as they cook that — while an elaborate table was present in the kitchen — they will be serving their meals at the Top Chef house, and that they only have 20 minutes to move to the house from this announcement. this was a funny challenge, it was good to see some personalities come out, while others were not so cool
First Course: "Yellow Love Vanilla" (Andrew & Spike) i think they made that squash soup, but they had no electronics, so they had to hand squash the squash "with love" lol.
Second Course: "Orange Turned-On Asparagus" (Jennifer & Stephanie) um.. yeah, they made their bread and asparagus into dirty shapes on the plate. eww...
Third Course: "Green Perplexed Tofu" (Dale & Richard) they made it taste like beef! plus, their presentation was funny, richard acted perplexed...
Fourth Course: "Magenta Drunk Polish Sausage" (Antonia & Lisa) used fish instead of sausage. that's like cheeting.
Fifth Course: "Purple Depressed Bacon" (Mark & Nikki)
WINNERS: Dale & Richard (Tofu "steak" marinated in beef fat with green curry) told ya
ELIMINATED: Jennifer (Menage a trois of orange with goat cheese, asparagus, salad and olive tapénade) her avengement for zoi was short lived... oh well. i thought she was really good though, too early for her to leave.
tailgating
Quickfire Challenge: Each contestant is allowed to taste three beers from several different brands prior to selecting one. spike said he couldn't tell the flavors of beers apart, my mother was personally offended. she wanted to hit him. With that beer, each contestant is then challenged to create a matching dish that works with the beer. Prize: Immunity from the next Elimination Challenge.
The Best: Jennifer, Richard, Stephanie
The Worst: Dale, Nikki, Spike (that shows him)
WINNER: Jennifer (Landshark Lager — Shrimp and scallop Beignets with fennel avocado & pepper pureés) she's avenging for zoi. she's got the power and drive now
Elimination Challenge: The contestants are asked to create meals for a tailgating party at Soldier Field prior to a Chicago Bears football game (Week 6 game versus the Minnesota Vikings). The chefs are given preparation time both at the Top Chef kitchen and at the field, prior to serving, on grills. The top and bottom three dishes were selected from the crowd participating in the tailgating party, including former Bears players Richard Dent, Gale Sayers and William "The Refrigerator" Perry, though the final decision of the winner and eliminated chef was left to the judges.
WINNER: Dale (Baby back ribs marinated in tandoori, potato salad with raisins & mango) he was SUPER excited about going to see the bears, too. like "yay!"
ELIMINATED: Ryan (Bread salad with marinated chicken, poached pears and brandy cocoa) he made like a fancy, ritzy, five course meal, not real tailgaiting food. i couldn't' remember when he was outed for like weeks, but it was this one.
um.. ep. 5
all of the links are like, not from me, so i wouldn't bother with them.
Episode 5: The Elements
Quickfire Challenge: The chefs' palates are tested by a series of 15 comparisons. For every comparison, each chef is blindfolded and tastes two variations of a certain food, one of which is of a lesser quality than the other. The chefs are scored for each high-end ingredient they correctly identify. i love the challenges like these, testing their pallets. great
The Best: Antonia (12/15); Jen (11/15), Ryan (11/15)
The Worst: Stephanie (6/15)
WINNER: Antonia (Prize: Immunity in the next Elimination Challenge.)
Elimination Challenge: The chefs are split into four groups of three by drawing knives, each assigned to one of the classical elements: Earth, Water, Fire, or Air. Each team is to create a first-course meal based on that element for 80 people of Chicago's Celebrity Chef-Meals on Wheels Fundraiser, held at the old Marshall Field & Co. Building. Survey cards were filled out by the patrons of the dinner that evening and used as part of the judging process.
i thought this was kind of cool, the elements. water did like fish, fire did spice, earth... spike wanted to do a squash soup, but antonia, with immunity, didn't want to. bad move... water did fish type things. richard and andrew, perfect together. dale and lisa do NOT get along.
Team Air: Jennifer, Nikki, Ryan
Team Earth: Antonia, Spike, Zoi
Team Fire: Dale, Lisa, Stephanie
Team Water: Andrew, Mark, Richard
WINNER: Lisa of Team Fire (Grilled shrimp with pickled chili salad, deviled aioli, and miso-smoked bacon) sounds good! but i don't like lisa, she's creepy
ELIMINATED: Zoi of Team Earth (Beef carpaccio with mushroom salad and sunchoke aioli)
oh no! zoi and jen were split up! whatever will happen!?! jen was real upset, reall real upset
top 3
David A went home to Utah - Paula chose his 1st song - And So It Goes, & - With You, & Longer.
i love the trips home. he cried A LOT. and says 'gosh' A LOT. then it was over and he was like, "you guys showed a lot of me crying, gosh, i don't cry that much! [awkward laughter]". whaterver.
billy joel song! people love david, i dont' see it... he's boring, he never does anything with the song, trying to make it more interesting...
that must be why he chose a chris brown song. what the heck! and then he sang BOO, and the whole world freaked out. what's up with that? he said BOO, not booby. lol... laughing at my own joke. he's not very good at the pop stuff, it was just awkward.
um... yeah another ballad. those producers are really smart... [[sarcasm]]. like... why?!!
Syesha went home to Tampa - Randy chose her 1st song - If I Ain't Got You, & Fever, & Hit Me Up
she cried at home too. i don't remember her trip, she must have been boring...
she made a good fake alicia keys. she's a good singer, nothing more.
um... she did this creepy thing with a chair for fever. it was STRANGE. like, dancing, and posing with musicians... the chair had no real importance either, it wasn't sung that well.
this was like a strange song... something about penguin soundtracks, so people thought it was about penguins, but it's not... it's a poppy song, i thought it was okay.
David C went home to Kansas City - Simon chose his 1st song - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,& Dare You To Move, & - I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing
david's trip home, i thouht, was the coolest. he's funny. and he cried, and tried to hold it in, like a man, but come on, he let it slip...
um... that song was like crazy. like simon only chose it because it's slower, not rock, so he could challenge david, yet, david was like crazy good, i thought. simon claims a "cook and cowel" win for round one, i agree.
bit pitchy, but good. i like that they sing songs that i know, not, say, First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. dont' know that one... but cook was good, not excellent round two.
it was great... just great. the writer was in the audience, she loved it. it was way too short, wish it was longer. he's great. crazy good strings too, i love when the strings come in on like, all of his songs. plus i love that song anyway
results.
syesha is out, obviously. i knew it would be that way
it's david vs. david for the finale!

top 4
they had two songs this week, from the rock -n- roll hall of fame.
David Cook - Hungry Like the Wolf & Baba O'Riley
he was very chill, relaxed, cool. first song, i didn't think it was great. some thought it was, i was like "really?" but...
apparently the second one was great. i believe it. i think this was the week that i only saw the last three performances of the night... oops.
Syesha Mercado - Proud Mary & A Change is Gonna Come
danny sang proud mary for his audition... she didn't change it very much, apparently david was scolded for not changing his, but syesha did the same thing as tina turner.. whatever.
her second was great too. paula cried. said something about her dream coming true, syesha bawled. like tears were flowin! apparetnly simon cried, but i don't believe that. i must have missed that particular second...
Jason Castro - I Shot the Sheriff & Mr. Tambourine Man
he's kind of awkward, strange... there's not very many words in sheriff... he was having too much fun, i think... laughing and such.
i lovee... the tambourine song, it's sooo catchy! he forgot the words... just kind of "ladahala" ed it up... not okay for top four. not okay when archie did it top 12 or 11... just not okay!
David Archuleta - Stand By Me & Love Me Tender
another ballad! soo safe and expected. looking back, what the heck were his fans thinking!?!
this one was better, but still.. i'm bored, but he really is good
results
jason is finally out. i used to love him, but now... he knows he's not as good as the other guys, we all know it... he had WAYY too much fun singing his sheriff song again. he was dancing like a crazy, laughing like a maniac...
top 5
Jason Castro - Forever in Blue Jeans & September Morn
he was kinda safe and kinda boring. but that's what he does... both songs were just okay. but omg paula! after the FIRST song, she was like "that was good [blahblahblah], and your SECOND song, that was better but i don't think....[blahblahblah]" she started talking about a song that never happened! they blamed it on a new system, because they didn't give their opinions right after, but halfway through. and i know, they do dress rehearsals and stuff, so she wrote things down from that and said it, or she's just on crack...
David Cook - I'm Alive & All I Really Need is You
first song was okay. i really do not remember this week, so that must mean that they weren't very good. but i have my sources, so i know what happened... second song was wayy better
Brook White - I'm a Believer & Iam, I Said
is that like, from shrek?? yes! yes it was... played guitar. not so great. simon called it a disaster, then she had some snappy comeback. i can remember the second song, kinda. better than the first, that's for sure. played piano. didn't know the words so she wrote them on her hand, but she didn't need it.
David Archuleta - Sweet Caroline & America
my sources say that he sucked, but i highly doubt that. i do believe that he's way overrated, because he's really not as good as people think he is. but he must be good enough to get people to like him, or is it just because he's charmingly naive?
Syesha Mercado - Hello Again & I Thank the Lord for the Nightime.
she doesn't wear shoes, which is kinda gross. think of where that stage has been! she's good, but... i don't know. something makes me not like her...
brooke or jason better be eliminated.
results
umm... brooke is out. finally. she's not good.

WHY MUST THEY SPELL LLOYD WITH TWO Ls!!!?
he's the big musical guy, hot shot, big cheese, kahoona. yeah.
Syesha Mercado - One Rock 'N Roll Too Many
she was like CRAZY theatrics and dancing and hip swinging. that's where she comes from, she's an actress... i thought it was okay. i don't like the over the top stuff, but she was good.
Jason Castro - Memories
he didn't know it was sung by a cat. [clearly from Cats] i didn't know that either, but at least i'm not trying to sing it! he was boring, sleepy, why is he still there
Brooke White - You Must Love Me
she stopped again! she was like a few measures in, forgot the words, and asked to start again. it was cute the first time, not so much this time. it was BAD. plus, she didn't really feel the emotions of it.
David Archuleta - Think of Me
um... he sings another boring ballad. what else is new?
Carly Smithson - Jesus Christ Superstar
i LOVE THIS SONG! just because i find it kind of funny... she has amazing vocals, big voice...
David Cook - Music of the Night
from phantom of the opera. AH-MAZING. i thought. some people didn't like it, but i thought it was great. it wasn't just another rock song, it was ballady, pianos, he has a huge, wonderful voice, i loved it. plus, i love that song in the actual movie ((i know, play type thing)), so it was fantastic.
results.
i do not agree with this AT ALL. i thought brooke and jason should have been in the bottom two, it was syesha and carly
what the heck!
and carly went home.
again...
what the heck!
she was way better than jason, brooke, partly syesha, i think david archulety. she's great, and she was out too early.
oh well, such is american idol

top 7
can i first say that i am not a mariah carey fan, and i have heard of... maybe two of these songs?
David Archuleta - When You Believe
don't know this song. plus i don't remember. i'm going to say he was good, cuz he always is, but i didn't like him, because i never do. he's kind of a boring performer
Carly Smithson - Without You
she was pushing i bit too much for the high notes.
Syesha Mercado - Vanishing
she was apparently very good this week, say my sources. they say best of night. i disagree.
Brooke White - Hero
she's always barefoot! she kinda rushed through it.
Kristy Lee Cook - Forever
she was FANTASTIC!! me and sister ran around the house singing this song for... like 5 days. it was great.
David Cook - Always Be My Baby
holy crap. this kid... he was the best of the night for sure. he took this pop song and made it rockin. he was crazy crazy good. and he cried after. his brother with brain cancer or something was in the audience, i think it was just like, overload. but omg he's amazing.
Jason Castro - I Don't Want To Cry
apparently people went crazy for him. i'm betting he was just his usual. nothing spectacular.
results
i'm making this short
bottom three:: kristy lee, syesha, brooke
kristy lee is finally going home! i screamed!
then she sang her song again and i sang along because i love it
yay i was wrong!
i saw a commercial with all the old winners, christian saying "fierce, fabulous, flawless." and then they said WHO'S NEXT?!
then they said COMMING IN JULY!
YAY!
but how do they do that if shear genius is on wednesdays? starting in late june? i don't think it'll be done by then... maybe unless runway moves days! that would be.... .... crazy!
my schedual
um... no...
5/14 and the winner is...
whitney's commercial was just average, some still thought she was fake, but her picture was ah-mazing. apparently. i thought it was okay, but probably not anything to cream myself about.
fatima's commercial was robotic, her picture just okay.
anya's commercial was horrible, but she looked good in it. paulina said that anya looked stupid in her photo. like, not smart. that's really mean, even though anya isn't very bright.
anya is picked, whitney and fatima are in the bottom two
fatima goes home. thank the lord, i hated her, i loved whitney.
nigel shoots the girls in a seventeen mag. thing for the winner. i don't get that magazine anymore... oh no!
then they do a versace runway. there were all these guys in striped speedos that would just randomly walk down the runway. it was crazy.
whitney was like a power-house, but she forgot to pose at the end of the runway, so photographers can't photogrograph her.
anya was stunning, but she didn't walk strongly enough. she looked kind of like she was in a dream to me. like she was just .f. .l. .o. .a. .t. .i. .n. .g....
there is a BIG deliberation. it's a tough one for sure. i like both of them, but i wanted whitney to win more.
and the winner is...
whitney!!! yay!
she's the first plus-size model to ever make it that far, let alone win. then paulina was like, "i see nothing 'plus-size' about you." and they changed it to "full figured model". i'm good with that.
congratulations to whitney, and congratulations to me for finally finishing.

5/7 this is not a drag competition!
fatima finally wins something, her only win, EVER, on a challenge. she gets 50 extra frames.
the photo shoot is the girls trying to get away from paparatzi or something like that. they have their man with them too. and nigel is the photographer.
dominique looked too drag in her picture.. something about how she can't wear lots of make-up because it makes her look like a man/woman.
fatima was just awful. she claims she doesn't know how to be "with a man" cuz she never had a boyfriend, but please. it was bad.
anya was bad too. until she tripped on the stairs and then they got the perfect shot.
whitney did okay. they said her man was like overpowering her. too bad.
fatima and dominique are in the bottom two.
i was okay with either of them going, they both suck.
dominique is out. good! she always looked like crap at the judgings, and she always looked like a man in her pictures.

OH NO!
IT JUST CAN'T HAPPEN!
SHEAR GENIUS IS STARTING JUNE 25, SO RUNWAY COULDN'T BE IN JULY
I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
I KNEW THAT THEY PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE LIKE THREE SEASONS IN ONE YEAR
AND NOW I'M UPSET
BUT I DO LIKE SHEAR GENIUS... AND ALL THE GUYS HAVE CRAZY CHRISTIAN HAIR!!
PROBABLY ONCE THE SG SEASON IS OVER, THEN WE'LL GET RUNWAY BACK
SO THIS FALL... I CAN WAIT. I HOPE...
the saddest thursday in history
GREG QUIT!
this weekend, he quit. and everyone's like "we respect his decision"
but i don't get it! why did he leave. he's just like "it's time" or crap like that.
what the heck!
and, he took all of his thursday videos down, so i can't go back to watch them
wolf gang! i can't watch that. that was genius!
and today, the other four made a collab video all about him.
tyler has some mad editing skillz. and they had him singing in the background, a song he sang in one of his vids in like march. soooo sad.
he has a great voice.
they said they're gonna replace him...
i'm still depressed about this, and it's been like four or five days.
"M" doesn't like it when i refer to the guys as "the gays" i can't say "the guys" because there are lots of guys out there. she doesn't think they'd like it. um... that's why their chanel is called "5awesomegays", because they don't like to be called gay.
duh. so some people shorten it to 5ag. which i guess i could do. 'cause otherwise it's FAG. which spells fag. which isn't nice.
speak out against hate speech. (one of tyler's videos. find it)
okay, so i just had to vent. and to remind you that the 5AGs are amazing.
new music
tokyo police club (!) they're kind of techno-punky-poppy. they use some big words too, i used a dictionary!
- Tessellate (to form a mosaic). good song. not so sure at first, but now i love it. salavate? what does that mean... (make saliva) yeah... "lovers salave, broken hearts tessellate tonight". those lyrics don't really make sense... whateves.
oh yeah, i found that band on MTV's meet the artist or something where they had a song snippit. i was like "cool..." and they are
the audition
- You've Made Us Consious. i don't know if this was already on here... good song
- What Gets You Through the Night. slower, but really good too.
- Warm me Up. "warm me up beneath the sheets babe..." dirty? maybe... but it's good and it's stuck in my head...
- Don't be So Hard. i guess this is good... not my fave but it's new.. maybe i'll break it in...
um... mayday parade?
- did i put Walk on Water or Drown on here? best flippin song flippin ever. i LOVE it to DEATH
- Take this To Heart. i might have already put this on too... i love this too
- i'd hate to be you when people find out what this song is about. i've probably wrote about this.... i'm going CRAZY.
the audition's being at warped tour too! super excited!
i found this other band with tokio something... spelled like that. i don't know if they're good though, i'll have to look again sometime... and i have to look up death cab for cutie, because i've heard they're good... pete wentz likes them...

4/30 WARRIORS!!!
they learned moves, then had to do them for a five-frame shoot. with some man gladiator battling them.
whitney won and got.... 1000 euros i think... which is a lot. she can either keep it all for herself or share. she shares with anya. would you rather...
buy twice as much but be lonely, or take a friend, make memories, and only buy half as many roman things?
tricky...
she took anya
the girls go into this giant old castle thing and have a shoot with tyra as the photographer.
they had some crazy wigs on man!
they all did... okay.
everyone loves anya, except for her personality
whitney's too sexy
dominique is too... gameshowy
katarzyna has too uncool eyes
fatima was good
bottom two::: katarzyna and whitney
out::: katarzyna
i was upset because i thought she could win. she was like my favorite.
4/23 long live rome!
fatima is sick, has a fever, ugly pjs, anya cares for her and dominique is mean.
the girls have to do a cover girl commercial in greek. goody!
katarzyna is a wiz with language and does pretty good
lauren is awkward and stupid
dominique messes up the words so bad, not even a really old fluent greek could understand anything.
whitney overacts real bad, fake laughs, sucked in cheeks.
fatima was pretty good, she's strange though...
oh, and anya's speaking was terrible also. she laughed cutely though, so she was saved.
bottom two:: lauren and whitney
back to america:: lauren
good. i never thought she was that good, though everyone else did. why?!?
um... 4/16
lauren cuts her thumb on a knife and has big ole' stitches.
they have to work a 'green' carpet and be natural.
whitney is fakefakefake. anya wins, and gets another nude shoot for 7up. this time she's covered in limes and lemons. you may have seen it in People Mag about... lots of weeks ago? she also got $10,000. wows.
fatima is struggling with something about her travel documents. if she gets farther, and they go abroad, she's gonna need those. so she goes to talk to the government, while the others have a photo shoot. nice one!
it's at an airport. they all are in it, but they pick the best for each girl. fatima never showed up...
[i'm making this one super short, as are all the next ones]..
she gets back later, and is still saved after missing a shoot! i would have been like "NO". BUT NOOOOOOO....
stacy ann is out, which doesn't really upset me, she was annoying and not very special.
then, (SHOCKER!) the girls are told that, since they have their luggage there already, they'll be going abroad. good timing, fatima! and they go to rome! yay!
to do list
here's what i still have to do. updated today. it's never ending!
i am NEVER going to catch up now, who am i kidding?

5awesomegays
5awesomegays
i am in love with those guys
monday - andy
tuesday - korey
wednesday - stevie
thursday - greg
friday - tyler
those guys are hilarious, and very gay. but i love them.
oh and greg is really good looking. like, if he weren't 20 somethin, and gay, he'd be mine.
lol
each day they make a post, and each asks a question, then they all answer everyone's questions. you gotta catch yourself up though, like watch some from the past. i like 3/27 (wolf gang) cuz greg is like a.d.d. then 3/28 tyler is crazy funny. both deal with pochahontas. greg plays the recorder like nobody's business.
i love love love them! i have to watch them everyday, they're that good. not so much andy, he's boring. favies are stevie, tyler, greg. i do like korey too... no, i love them all except andy. i just like him. he's kinda ugly.
so watch them when you can, because seriously, they rock socks the way only gays could.
haha [heart] lizzy
i can't make the hearts with the arrow and 3, it deletes things.

top 8; idol gives back
Michael Johns - Dream On
i didn't find it inspirational. he was good. fine. i'm real tired of him.
Syesha Mercado - I Believe
this was by fantasia. so she was compared to that. she's good, but not very memorable. like, the audience doesn't get her.
Jason Castro - Over the Rainbow
this was freakin amazing. he PLAYED THE UKULELE!!!! holy poop! i thought he was the best of the night. it wasn't judy garland, it was some other guy. now, if you don't know who judy garland is, die.
Kristy Lee Cook - Anyway
i found it very inspirational for her because there was a line about how they may say you're forgettable, but you'll sing anyway. omg i laughed, because simon calls her forgettable. hehe. she was surprisingly good though.
David Cook - Innocent
again, not one of those songs that's like, POW! INSPIRATION! but i guess it was okay. i couldn't hear him. that always happens for idol. the music is too loud, and the singers can't be heard. i don't know if it's just my tv or what. he wrote "give back" on his hand and held it out. i found that cheesy, but sweet. it wasn't his best performance though.
Carly Smithson - The Show Must Go On
big rock song. i get it... she's always good, really loud
David Archuleta - Angels
i think he played the piano.... he was good, as always. i'm done with him though. like, i hate him. he is very very very overrated, because he's not as fantastic as everyone says.
Brooke White - You've Got a Friend
weird song, but she was good. her voice does this cracking thing, i kinda like it, but it does get strange.
idol gives back
it was a waste of two and a half hours. except the so you think you can dance dancers were there!!! that made me happy.
results
they have raised so much money it's not even silly.
like wayyy over 60 million. there are good people out there!
i'm not gonna waste any time.
they called them out one by one for the bottom three, but no one was in it... the last three in the back were it. clever!
bottom three:: carly, michael, syesha
goodbye michael johns. apparently america was really mad. i wasn't, i was sick of him.. but he did have fans apparently. and some people thought that because they didn't kick anyone off last year for IGB, they wouldn't this year, but they did.
good riddance.
YAYYYAY!!!
STARTS MAY 22
THAT'S A THURSDAY!
OMG I'M SOOOOOOO EXCITED
i've been watching those fierce commercials for weeks, and finally we have a date!!!
I AM SOO ECXITED!

having a tamil text
well, not text, but font.
i can't remember what i said, but it was something like that.
மகிங் ஏ தமிழ் டெக்ஸ்ட்
புன், ஹு?
new season news!
i think the 5th is starting already in july!!! omg soo excited!
then sister told me all this other news about comming after that.
she said season 5 would be this summer, then i think 6 would be in the fall, so there's gonna be like 3 this year.
then the show is moving to... lifetime. i think. so they're leaving bravo. if they come back for more than 6 seasons. seeing as we don't even have a real date for 5th, lets not get our hopes up.
but gosh, my hopes are up!!! so excited!
oh, and guess what, christian won!
(sorry, but i'm still thrilled about that!)
umpa lumpa food
this episode was a looooooooonnnnnnggggg time ago! i just realized that...
quickfire
they had to do something will veggies and knife skillz. if you can't handle a knife well, you suck.
Bottom 3 - Nikki, Lisa & Manuel. how do you have a bottom for veggie plates?
Top 3 - Zoi, Richard & Dale
winer of immunity:: dale. congratz on the veggie/ knife skillz
elimination challenge
the chefs are in groups of two, or three for one group, and they are making a six course dinner based on movies. so each group picks any movie, and they get to make food based on that.
the teams and their work are as foll0ws::
Dale, Richard & Andrew - Willy Wonka
they get to use chocolate and they make a "fizzy lifting" drink. i thought that was funny. if you haven't seen the original willy wonka, leave the united states right now. then they said the thing about burping to get down from the ceiling (and impending death by huge rotating fan). the food was good, presentation was good. although andrew did want to dress up like umpa lumpas do serve it, that didn't happen.
Spike & Manuel - Good Morning Vietnam
they just wanted to do vietnamese food, so they picked a vietnamese movie. i think that's cheating. they did like spring rolls and stuff. it didn't seem very good, plus they cheated.
Jen & Nikki -Il Postino
it's an italian movie, so they made their own pasta. which i think is cool. i don't think it was great, but it was good enough.
Ryan & Mark - A Christmas Story
they were really funny. they did it beacuse in the movie there's no turkey, so they use duck. but the store (whole foods) didn't even have turkey or duck. so they used quaile. and there was something about chinese food, too. i don't remember. they were funny though, and did swell.
Antonia & Zoi - Talk to Her
it's some romantic spanish story. so they got to do spanish food. and they "wanted" bright yellow colors, from safron, but they didn't, because they wanted it to taste better. whatever. the food wasn't great.
Lisa & Stephanie - Top Secret!
i think that's how the title is, with an ! . this is one of those movies... i'm guessing like epic movie or meet the spartans, where it's not really a movie, more of a long joke. which is fine. i love epic movie. so there's this scene in it with a guy in a cow suit, so they made beef. they had lots of sauces... but the food was great, from what the judges said.
Top 2 - Dale, Andrew & Richard and Stephanie & Lisa.. as it should be
winner:: richard.
Bottom two - Antonia & Zoi and Spike & Manuel
packing their knives::manuel
thank the lord, i was creeped out by him
top 9
Brook White - Jolene
she was just good. i bielive she had her guitar with her. she was good, and the song was sung around the house, but it wasn't great
David Cook - Little Sparrow
he did this falsetta thing (is that it? i don't know, it was the "high pitch" thing). great. not shocking.
Ramiele Malubay - Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?
i remember the short shorts and tall boots, not so much the singing. she's a good singer, maybe not this week though.
Jason Castro - Travelin' Through
he was just okay. he lost his touch at this point.
Carly Smithson - Here You Come Again
um.... i don't remember this at all. she's always good though.
David Archuleta - Smokey Mountain Memories
same as carly. he's always "good". but i don't like him.
Kristy Lee Cook - Coat of Many Colors
um... i try real hard to mentally block kristy's performances. i know she was good-ish. she's been getting better.
Syesha Mercado - I Will Always Love You
huge song. pretty predictable for her. she always picks those big songs, then does okay. stuck in my head too.
Michael Johns
i have no idea what he sang. he's good. but i don't like him.
results.
there's an hour of fillers, then the...
bottom three:: kristy (gasp), brooke (real gasp), ramiele (nothing, not even sarcasm)
i knew it the night before who was going home. you could tell by the performance.
ramiele was standing between kristy and brooke, both her roommates, and they were at least a foot taller than her, easy. and she was like "you guys are too tall!"
then she went home. kristy was once again in the bottom two, but she was, once again, saved.
ramiele cried mucho. then sang. i wasn't broken, i knew it was comming, she knew it was comming. no one was surprised, i think.
i tried to keep it short this time. maybe too short? idk, tell me what you think.

I'D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU, BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU
BY ALLY CARTERi have to do this quick.
i loved this book. cammie is at a private school for girls, and everyone thinks they're just stuck up rich girls, but they're actually training to be spies.
then she acidentally (one c or two??!) meets josh, a not spy from the near by small town. he sounds hot. there's some banter exchanged about a lucky cat, stuff like that. cammie tries to secretly date him, by sneaking out of the castle.
it's a good book, full of mystery and intrigue. not really intrigue, but...
i wanna read the sequel now, CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY
i don't have the book now, so i can't quote it, but it was good.
plus, there were TWO, count them, 2! gilmore girls mentions in two pages! extra points for that!

youtube to ipod conversions
go here... http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/
there is a setup thing. just say yes yes yes, install, finish.
then you get this little buddy. in the top box, you put the url. (youtube) then the bottom box fills with this computer jargin that no one understands. i think you can change that to a file name (such as "potter puppet pals" . or you can change it later.Monday, April 14, 2008
she should have slid
the challenge this week is go-sees! which i love! they had teams of two for the go-sees, and gps's to guide them through new york.
Team 1 - Claire, Dominique, Stacy-Ann & Whitney.
Team 2 - Lauren, Fatima, Anya & Katarzyna
whitney was hurt on the inside by one designer because she's plus size, and they don't do that. that happens all the time to plus sizers, deal.
they had a winning team:: team 1
and one big time winner::: stacy ann.
they got to do a seventeen mag. foto shoot.
the bigg photo shoot this week was CRAZY AWESOME! it was at some strange circus type thing, with like acrobatics and craziness.
the girls had to lay in puddles, on a clear plastic sheet, in the air, with crazy lights behind them and the camera under them. so it was like... crazy. i liked it.
claire went first, and she was like, "i'm gonna slide in" which i thought wouldn't be dumb, like a slip'n'slide kinda. but jay was like "no". so she FELL! she just went straight... i'll draw it...
click to enlarge :)she really did get like whiplash, because her head hit and bounced back hard. i felt bad, but also i was annoyed. she saw stars and had to sit out for a while.
why did they wear such nice fancy dresses? they got them all wet!
katarzyna's hair was cut this week. i do like it, but i liked it emo better. i should do my hair like the emo one last week, that was fierce.
the other girls did pretty well. not lauren. she was crap. she said her contacts fell out, and she couldn't breathe, it was just bad. so was claire.
whitney was good. they compared her to a "full figured fetus"(alliteration). which... makes sense, but not really. i liked her picture though.
fatima was good. she had these crazy finger things going on. strange, but good.
Order - Fatima, Anya, Katarzyna, Whitney, Stacy-Ann, Dominique.
Bottom 2 - Claire vs Lauren
in the end, claire is sent home. i was sad. she was like my favorite until she was dumb and fell onto the plastic. it doesn't bounce! but yeah, i think she's wayy better than lauren, or stacy ann, or dominique, but she's gone.
i think SA is just skirtting along, she's not great, but she doesn't suck. sick of it.
oh yeah, covergirl of the week is... katarzyna! not claire! omg!
i think my favorite now is katarzyna. or anya, she's really good, but her talking annoys me.
till next time...
Monday, April 7, 2008
omg i know that house!
quickfire
reinvent a high class taco... and still make it taste like street food. i guess it's okay...
richard was using some other sort of thing to make shells, not real ones. it was weird.
Bottom - Erik, Lisa & Ryan
Top - Andrew, Richard & Spike
winner: richard. i think spike was mad... whatever. richy rich gets immunity.
now padma makes them go in the cars, in teams. red team gets a red car, blue team gets a blue car.
Blue Team - Richard, Manuel, Stephanie, Nikki, Antonia, Mark & Lisa
Red team - Zoi, Dale, Andrew, Spike, Ryan & Jenn
they end up in this strange neighborhood. they have to cook for the 'hood's annual block party. for the food, they have to go to the peoples' houses and ask for it. haha!
omg. i have seriously been to that neighborhood! it looks just like my mom's friend's 'hood. and i totally went to the block party!! i was just like :0!! because i swear i've been there. i was looking for the kids i know, but i didn't see them. i won some Swiss Rolls at that block party.
so while i was waiting for the chefs to get food from the house that i have SLEPT AT, they ran like crazy. they never went there.
they needed mucho food, for like... 40+70... like 110 people! plus they needed kid-fun-dly food. ( i mixed friendly with fun!) i think i'm losing it here...
then they go back, prepare food at the place, bring it back to street, and prepare for crazy. ness.
blue team menu:: Paella, Slaw, BBQ pulled pork, bean salad, Inside-out cookie, sexy drink, fruit cobbler, mac n cheese.
how do you have a "sexy drink?" i didn't get that part.
red team menu:: sliders, corn dogs, pork skewers, sangria waldorf salad, pasta salad, taco salad & s'mores
they stuck marshmallows on a stick and used a flame torch. funny. but the corn dogs were soggy. ick.
all the people come, get food, enjoy, red team plays basketball with the youn'uns. i didn't see anyone i know...
blue team wins. yay!
winner: stephanie, for fruit cobbler and sexy drink.
packing their knives: erik. he had soggy wieners. or soggy doggies, if you perfer.
lol byebye
more nower music
the maine
- the way we talk. bit dirty. "sex cells, and your sex cells, make all the lost boys drool". but it's a good song. plus i like this line... "you're as fake as the moans you make, you're as weak as the hearts you break." funny song...
every avenue
- where were you? omg, this was like my ocd for a few days. bit more poppy, punky, maybe, not sad. i love it. makes me want to sing.. which i shouldn't
all time low
- coffeshop soundtrack
- six feet under the stars. i just got this so i don't know if i love it yet, but it does say "fierce.."
- dear maria, count me in. not much to say. good. creepy laughing though...
the academy is
- slow down. i didn't know if i liked them, but now i do. it's all the lyrics...
maday parade
- jersey. like the state or the name... it's always stuck in my head, and i just bought it 2 minutes ago. somehow it was in there before though. catchy i guess...
the starting line... i just found them. these are the songs i bought, but i don't know about them much yet
- the best of me. listening to it right now. it's good.
- bedroom talk. kind of funny i think.
- island. listening to this right now. good hooks. i don't really know what hooks are, but i talk like i do. it's good...
i'll probably be having these like weekly, because i'm always finding new songs. which i love.
THE SCHWA WAS HERE
BY NEAL SHUSTERMANwoah. i just noticed that the E in shusterman is upside down on the cover. because that's what a schwa is. the upside down e, like for pronouncing things in the dictionary. but it's also the kid's name. and he's kind of invisible.
this book is really really weird, but good. kind of confusing, but not so much that you get lost and frustrated.... that doesn't happen to me much. Malmie said i'm a real good reader :D.
the kids kind of solve a mystery, one that they didn't really want to know. there's lots of parts of this, lots of drama... a girl, loss of friends, parental discrepancies, broken hips, madre madness.
that's all i'll give away. oh, and afghans, the dogs... huh...
clipclipclip...
JEREMY FINK AND THE MEANING OF LIFE
BY WENDY MASSi thought this book would be dumb a year ago. sister bought it, we just had it. but then i read it. mostly because i had already read most everything in the house. including shampoo bottles. twice. so i read this. and let me tell you, it is wayyy better than i expected.
so jeremy and lizzy (i know, it's me!) are besties, and very troublesome. but funny. and he gets this box from his dead father. but he can't open it because he doesn't have the four keys. uh oh! so they go on adventures to find them. they meet lots of interesting characters. learn things. hula hoop.
the plot does seem to meander a bit, just in the middle, when they are temporarily sustained from the key search. then at the end, all at once, they find them. nice ending. it was a bit sad. i didn't cry though.
here's my clip...

top 10
Ramiele Malubay - 9/6/87 - Alone
she used to walk up to kids, bite them, and walk away. social skills
this is a really big song and she isn't big enough for it. i think carly sang it already this season... i thought... and carly was better
Jason Castro - 3/25/87 - Fragile
lol. he and his brother had fake instruments a "keytar" lol that's my favorite new word, cuz it's like a guitar, with keys. haha.
what's with all the languages for this kid?! last week french, this week spanish. it wasn't great. simon think's jason isn't serious about Idol, and he's like "i guess i could practice more". haha
Syesha Mercado - 1/02/87 - If I Was Your Woman
um... don't care about her life story
it was boring, but really good. she has a big range, but i don't think she conects to the audience enough.
Chikezie Eze - 9/11/85 - If Only For One Night
um... he's african.
it wasn't a crazy song! but it got boring, and a little cheesey, because of that.
Brooke White - 6/2/83 - Every Breath You Take
she hears a song, and can play it on the piano. that's amazing! she was a really nerdy kid...
she started, wrong key, and started again. i was like :0! but the judges said that was really professional. she's good, and the piano was good.
Michael Johns - 10/20/78 - We Will Rock You/We are the Champions
um... he's austrailian
i was confused because this is 2 songs. but they were released together, as kind of "one" so it was kinda like a medley. i love medleys. he was good this week, but the strobing lights freaked me out.
Carly Smithson - 9/12/83 - Total Eclipse of the Heart
she had HUGE curly hair.
simon didn't like her clothes. whatever. she was good.
David Archuleta - 12/28/90 - You're the Voice
um.. he's a boring kid. he danced with his sis.
simon didn't believe that he picked the song himself. i kinda liked it. it was funny. oh well. you know he was good...
Kristy Lee Cook - 1/18/83 - God Bless the USA
loser kid.
i hate her but she didn't suck this week. that's not to say she's gonna win, but she didn't suck. simon said it was the best song choice in years, but.. .maybe. probably not though.
David Cook - 12/20/82 - Billie Jean
omg. he had a HUGE head! he's really funny.
this was a michael jackson song! but he used someone else's version of it, so we have to give that guy credit. but omg it was amazing. now every week i tell my story about how i said that he would be the dark horse and become the one to beat, and i was right. he's amazing. my new favy fave.
results show
um... yeah, i don't really remember this, and i'm sick of writing about it...
soooooo.
bottom three::: syesha, jason (gasp!) and chikeze.
ryan asked jason what he felt, and jason kept on rambling like a fool. he's not bright. so he's talkin and talkin, then ryan's like "sit down" so he did. i was releaved, but i don't know why.
bottom line::: chikeze is out. good. i've been sick of him forever.
it was the hand touching, my friend. the "cheesey ezie" ness of it. lol.
lizzy out!

SO YESTERDAY
BY SCOTT WESTERFELDagain, with the scott. he's just a genius i think.
17 year old Hunter is just that, a hunter. of all things cool. it's like his job. kinda funny. so he meets Jen, someone with cool shoe laces.
then his boss goes missing. mysteriously.... it's a suspensful book. well, almost, not really.
it's a good book, i learned things, which seems to be one of scott's themes. actually... i can tell you the story line of all the the books of his that i've read....... ...
mid to late teenager finds themselves in some sort of pickle. whether it's saving the smoke or the world or their boss, it's a pickle. they meet someone a bit strange, of the opposite sex, of course, and true love ensues. they solve the pickle together, and exchage witty comebacks as well as saliva.
now, i have nothing wrong with these books, they are some of my favorites. scott westerfeld is still great. but it's predictable.
although, predictable might not be so bad here, because said predicted theme is still good.
so yes, read this book, even though i haven't said much about it, but you get the picture. it's good.
the music of... now
deffinately anything mayday parade. like really
- champagne's for celebrating (i'll have a martini) ... my current ocd
- you be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground, i'll be the wings that keep your heart in the clouds. sister didn't believe that title. but the song rocks...
- one man drinking games ... kinda sad, but great
- ocean and atlantic... good song that makes very little sense, but manno.
- when i get home you're so dead.... and get the music video too
- i'd hate to be you when people find out what this song is about. ... "tongue tied and terrified"... good
- miserable at best
- black cat
- jamie all over ... louder, peppier, just for you "M"
- three cheers for five years. ... not my favorite but definately good.
cute is what we aim for
- finger twist and split ... it says "fierce" what more can you want?
- moan... bit dirty (lol or "risque" if you like big words) but really really really great
- risque ... though it's not really dirty...
- sweet talk 101. i just like it for the line about the mirrors. funny.
the rocket summer
- do you feel
motion city soundtrack
- everything is all right ... i like this better. "i'm sick of the things i do when i'm nervous, like cleaning the oven or checking my tires" lol
- this is for real
now, some of these songs you may have to listen to a couple of times to get the real feel for them. Anchor song, i didn't like so much at first. but once i listened to it a few times, i couldn't turn it off. and you have to listen to the WHOLE THING. don't listen to 10 seconds, decide it sucks, and drop it. you have done that multiple times to me "M" and it makes me scream.
for songs that i'm not sure that i love, i've been getting the videos for them from youtube. not music videos, just random ones made by peeps who like them, usually with the lyrics. then i learn it. i can teach y'all how to cheat the system, sometime soon.
if i find any new HUGELY amazing songs, i'll just post 'em

house of pain and alarm clocks
claire is like crying because her milk is drying up. she was the one who pumps her milk so when she goes home to her baby, they can still breast feed. kind of icky, i think.
claire, whitney and lauren are all ganging up on dominique, for a multitude of reasons. they all hate her. lauren is crazy. and apparently she has found friends with whitney and claire, and they form their own little gang. it's weird...
anyways.... they get in their FabCab (lol) and go to some place. turns out tyra was their driver! lol i think she's on some sort of drugs, cuz my sister said she's just as crazy on the Tyra Show as she is on antm. she's like crazy! trya tries to teach them all how to walk, in a dance type studio with mirrors. and she sprains her ankle!! oh no! help tyra! just kidding, she was scaring them and "posing with pain". so they all have to do it.
someone had hurt hands... who was it... they were really bad.
they find out later, via tyra mail, that it was a secret challenge, and there is a winner. the winner::: anya. she was good, i think she had shoulder blades. i don't know how you hurt those, but whatever. she gets a photo shoot with nigel barker! yay! i love him. anya is naked on a bed. how original. her hair is really blonde! i don't like how she talks. she's from like honolulu or somewhere in hawaii. ugh it annoys me...
when she tells them about it, we hear this big thing from aimee, who was mormon, so she doesn't like to be naked. good thing you didn't win then. i really like her new hair. i love it, actually. we see a lot of her in this episode, and non of stacy ann.or katazyna or.... lots of them.
photo shoot:: the girls are each depicting a different style of music, okay, i like music.
claire had country, which i don't like, and she didn't do very good. it was awkward kinda, she was too high fashion and couture for the country
they didn't tell us what katazyna was, but from the outfit i knew. she was alternative, indie, my buddy. that's my music! later they called it "emo". whatever, i still like it. i thought she did great, and i liked her hair. they made her usually long dark hair short, and put some blonde like on top. tyra liked it too, because she said that next week someone will cut her air. i hope they do, i liked it.
aimee was boring being like aretha franklin or somthing
whitney was grunge, and she almost scared me, but she was good.
fatima fatima fatima. i'm sick of her. she had rock, and she just kept posing and being strange with a guitar.
dominique had folk music. lol. i thought she did okay, she deffinately looked peacefuller.
stacy ann had "house music". what is house music!? like "..." i can't even immitate it. she has like 6 poses, and they were always the same. boring.
here's the Judges order - Whitney, Katarzyna, Fatima, Lauren, Anya, Dominique, Stacy Ann
Bottom 2 - Aimee & Claire
i was worried cuz i love claire
but aimee is out, so claire is saved for another week.
i should have seen it coming, all that camera time aimee got.
predictable
PEELING THE ONION
BY WENDY ORRi love this book. i read it this summer, and it started weird, but i just had to read it agian, so ya know it was good.
anna is in a car accident after the big karate tournament, which she's won. she's with hayden, her new boyfriend. or.. almost boyfriend? i don't know... eventually they are "going out" but she can't, because she broke her neck. but she didn't die.
so all of her is messed up, her ankles, thumb, neck, head.
the book is basically about her recovery, and almost not recovery.
then there's luke. i won't say anything.
here's my book quote:::
omg i just found out wendy orr wrote nim's island, which is being a movie soon. lol. see, she is famous. i thought she was just a one-hit-wonder. but no...
so read this book. now! lol...

good enough for a mondkey to eat
quickfire challenge
they are brought to the Green City Market. they have to make an entree, using just 5 ingredients. the only ones that don't count are.. salt, sugar, pepper, and oil. okay...
so everyone is running around because they only have a half hour. but spike just sits there, listening to the music, taking his time. then he says something that amazes me. the quickfires really don't matter. they can't send you home because you fail! i think that's genius, and also cheating the system. i like it.
mark was spazy, being all mean and Australian. he like opened up some poor lady's cart to see the meat or something while she was with another top chef. and she was like :0. then he went to this one place and forgot his bag because he was in such a hurry. oops. oh well, he deserved it.
the guest judge is some ugly guy with ugly hair and crazy sideburns. he's like a... molecular something. just like Richard. they use crazy tools and fire and... yeah.
Richard is using eucalyptus, like the pandas. apparently it's not poisonous in really small quantities! well, then, let's embue our chicken!! is that the right word? it reminds me of elisa and her spiritual spit marking... but his chicken turned out oily and icky.
andrew the tard... he used balsamic, as a sixth ingredient. dumb. he's like "i can only focus on so many things at once, i'm kinda scatterbrained like that." no, really?
spike got the wrong meat, so instead of creating a new thing, like a steak sandwich, he kept his old menu, with the crappy meat. not smart.
wylie picks the best and the worst
bottom: erik, spike, richard
top: valerie, mark, ryan
winner: mark, he gets immunity
elimination challenge
they all draw knives, and there are weird animals on them. there are three in a group, so there are... five groups. they have to cater a staff party at the zoo. i don't know which one, but it's big. and... the menu has to be based off of what their animal eats. soo...
bear:: dale, spike, nikki
- venison something (i think it was okay)
- salmon (probably good)
- stuffed mushrooms (looked like turds. they weren't going to serve them, cuz they weren't hot either, but nikki did. nobody was tasting these before they served it)
- little honeycomb and cheese things (good)
- shrimp and crab salad (pretty okay, didn't suck)
- zuccini (i have no idea how they felt about this.. i don't think it sucked though)
- squid civiche (everybody liked that)
- jello-ish mint glacier, for cleansing the pallet (crazy cool)
- black olive blinies. (made early, not good, everyone hated them)
- banana bread (good!)
- lamb something (i think that was good...)
- and some sort of salad thing on chips (she ended up not using the chips, but her salad was soggy because she dressed it too early...)
- chicken on tostada chips (good)
- lamb meatballs (good)
- something with anchovies (everyone LOVED it, mark made them "anchovie believers")
- bison (where do you buy bison?)
- salad, goat cheese foam (ew, but of course, they have richard)
- prime rib, horse raddish foam (huh?)
- chicken somthing
everything was pretty good, nothing sucked for lion
top two:: vultures and penguins. liked the squid, glacier, anchovies. winner:: andrew. he was the person behind the squid and the glacier, so it's deserved.
bottom two:: gorilla and bear. poop mushrooms, crab (lol crap) salad, blinis packing their knives:: valerie, because of her blinis
good, i'm done, tell me how you like the layout of it, because i'm still a bit confused...
