hiatus

so, over december 19 and 26, project runway took a little break

this broke my heart, and i suffered withdrawl pains, but i'm better now.

so i HAVE to show y'all this amazing gift i got from M .... another runway fanatic, maybe not as crazy as me, but really, who could be?

christian has his "i [heart] Asians giant bag and a microphone cuz he sang in that one video. chris' pocket says "NY 4 SJP" yes, it was the inspiration for the title of episode 2's blog. glad you're keeping up. i don't know why he's holding large fabric, but it's funny.


jack has a medal that says "swim 1" cuz he's a good swimmer. also, he's lifting pill bottles because he takes tons of pills for his HIV and such. he's got muscles, and i think he's hilarious.

i love this, thank you thank you thank you ***"M" you are my bestestest friend in the whole wide world.

so i guess that's all i have to say... which is weird cuz i usuallly have TONS to say... but...

episode five's fierce formerly fat females

i made an allitteration!

my comm arts teacher would be soo proud!

this is going to be a LONG post, because i have A LOT to say. i apologize in advance...

so this episode is the craziest, saddest, happiest, angriest, silliest, funniest, mix-of-emotions-est episode EVER!

heidi says bring out the models, and they see this crazy shape behind that wall thing. sweet p suggests transfestites, what is that?

so it's this lady in a huge wedding dress, followed by other ladies in big clothes. huh?

heidi says that they have all lost extreme weight. this one lady says 160 lbs i think. that is amazing!

the designers have to make new clothes for the ladies using their old big clothes as raw materials

the old clothes were their favorites from when they were fat.

now, why would a wedding dress be your favorite outfit? sure, it's got great memories, but the challenge is to create something for everyday. does she wear the wedding dress everyday? does she pick up the tots from soccer in her wedding dress, and buy groceries and cook and get the car fixed in her wedding dress? i smell a fix, as do most people. i think it was planted there to be an extra challenge for 1 person, and that poor person was steve. i love steve, i think he's so funny. he does a tim-presion too. not as good as santino rice (season 2) , but it's still good. everyone else gets pretty simple ones. christian says he was nervous at first because kerry, his model, looked bi***y. they got along really well though... hmh..

in the beginning of the episode, we see jack, who thinks he is getting a staph infection or MRSA in his face. i knew something terrible was coming long ago, but i still got attached. he called his doctor, and made the decision to leave to get "hard-core" treatment.

team star was killed. they show kit and christian hugging jack, christian saying "team star" i was practically crying. now, i have nerves of steal and have never, ever cried during a movie or anything, but i was close for this episode. and during Specials. (the book. it's amazing, read it)

anyways, now they have only.. 1... 2... 3... they have one less designer than when they started, and someone still needs to be auf'd. later, tim brings a guest. guess who it is!...

chris march, back from where ever he went the day before. killervirgo says it best, something about "like a pheonix rising from the gay ashes of fashon..."

i SCREAMED. in pain and agony. i had just finished celebrating the demise of him, and he was back. i was a screaming fool, ask my sister, i think i broker her ear. i was sooooo mad that i almost cried agian. then i got over it because some funny things were happening.

funny moments with christian

this is becoming a regular thing...

so tim comes in once to check on everyone. he walks up to christian and asks, "so, christian, how fierce is it?" i died. christian thought it was funny to, and probably cought off guard. he just says, "it's pretty fierce, tim." i love this show.

later, when christian finishes, (he's done first a lot, because he's so fast) he says

"i'm finished with my outfit, WHAT UP!" and slams his and down on the table.

man, i seriously died and came back and died again laughing. sweet p asks if it's still against the law to kill a 12 year old. chris answers with, "you'll have to wait till he turns 12."

haha, very funny chris. you shouldn't be there, chub, so shut up.

another funny tim time

tim is talking with chris, saying he can stay as late as he wants so he can finish. then he tells him to make any big decisions now, not later. that makes sense. then he says... "because i have made more bad decisions at 3 a.m. than i can list." wooo.... steven yells "give us names tim! we want names!"

steve should be working, not getting phone numbers.

(lol i think that was a nice one, if i do say so myself)

Designs

jillian. she cheated. the shirt she got had pleets and stuff, so she bought identical fabric at mood. loser.

chris. ugly again... sailor, which is what he was going for i guess

christian says "pure costume. 100%. but the judges could die over it... or they could die, because of it." dejavu? no, he's just repeating it. silly? yes...

rami. this does look okay, and he didn't get very much recignition for it, but i hate him, so oh well.

kevin. this is amazing. he took this ugly yellow jacket and turned it into a tube top! amazing... he almost won.

victorya. ugly. she had this giant green velvet dress and turned it into this giant green velvet dress... magic!

kit. nice. she had the lady who lost 160, so she had gallons of fabric to work with... it's really nice.

ricky. see through. is that okay? he cried again because of the "transforming peoples lives with fashion." oh, did i forget to mention in the other blogs that he cries all the time? cuz he does. in this episode, he tried on the pants he was making, with heals. he said it was like research or something. whatever, ricky.

elisa. ugly. the slip hangs out, her body is chopped. it's just ugly.

sweet p. okay... not great, but okay...

winner

christian. finally. it does kinda look like the first jacket he made, but it's very different. kerry was very picky and said that she only wears black and jeans and nothing else. but he pulled it out and it's fierce, so congradulations, finally.

auf'd

steve. he only used the wedding dress for the collar and sleves. while i was upset by his leaving, i knew it was right. they said she looked like a french maid at a funeral... i just miss him.

i believe it was michael corrs who said in his blog that steven could have made hot pants (short shrots) with the wedding dress, for a bahamas look. that would have been amazing, but probably not on this lady. on a fit 20 year old? yes!

i CANNOT wait until there's only 4 people, the blog will be soo shorter. i'm probably gonna kill someone with all this reading.. oh well.

so they pick the models. jack takes lea, ricky's "sick" model. should'a saw that one coming. everyone else is basically the same.
they go meet tim, and he says that they will be updating old trends. ugly trends. then they will have to make them not ugly. christian swears and says that it will be hard, and he is right.
here's the trends they picked..
sweet p- baggy sweater- she was last (again) and complains
steve- dancewear (?)
christian- zoot suit (what the heck is that? tell me!)
chris- shoulder pads (those are gross, and never coming back, EVER!)
kit- fringe
jack- pleather (hehe i love pleather,, just because its a funny word)

kevin- 70s flare (he says "john travolta". i'm missing on that reference...)
jillian- overals. she was wearing them that day. i just laughed at her

then tim says that it's a team challenge, with groups of 3. yay. here's the teams. the "team leader" is first. they appointed themselves basically.

christian moment

i think i may have to do this every time, because he is a genius. so, on the day of the runway show, they dress their models, and, looking at one of them, christian declares that it is, "FEROSH"

and i don't know how to spell it, but it's like ferosious (can't spell that either) but without the ous

so they work and work and work. they have to make a 3 piece collection using all 3 trends.

the shoulder pads by chris are BUTT UGLY. man, that's not new fashion... the dancewear by steven is okay, a judge says it doesn't really look like she would dance in it, but its okay. the baggy sweater by sweet p is nice, the judges love it.

ricky, elisa, victorya

neon, cutouts, underwear/outerwear

i don;'t really see how that last one is underwear at all...

this team had ISSUES. V was very bossy, but R was the leader. elisa was just there, being her zen self, and i thank her for it. i do like E's piece, but it was really wrinkled. she said it was the first time she's used not stretch fabric ever. wowzas. R's is just weird...

the teamwork sucked, and so the collection suffered.

i can't tell who did what, or which look is what. which is good, right?

that short dress is on christian's model, lisa, but i think jack made it. kit's model, marie, maybe looks like zoot suit, but so does jack's on lea. i have no idea, but i love it. it's real modern and... i just love it.

jillian, kevin, rami

overals, flare, poodle skirt

i don't really see how the shorts are flare, mabe its' the shirt? the overals are definatly flared though, so they get points. i like the skirt too. kevin took forever on the shorts, but they turned out really nice. jillian's leadership skills are questionable, but they came out okay.

christian says (truthfully) that chris' is pure costume. i think its just pure ugly. then he says... "but the judges could die over it... or they could die, because of it." i think this is the best line ever. apparently he does too... watch what happens next week...

victorya is a butt, and tries to sell ricky out for being a bad leader, when really she was taking over. elisa says that out of fareness, she always says herself. i like that. no one else has ever done that, especially since she wasn't the leader and her dress was okay.

chris says he should go, (cuz the pads were ugly) steve agrees, sweet p freaks out when asked who should go, she suggests eenie meenie miny mo, but then says steven.

chris. good ridance, i say. i never really liked him, he didn't design that good. he was funny and kinda adorably fat, but i didn't like him.

DANIEL V'S BLOG i love it and i love his opinion. and no matter how right mine is, it's always good to get another, so read it.

Episode 3, oh my oh me

MENSWEAR.

in the beginning, chris is saying how sad he is that marion left. then he says "they should have sent christian home, no one would have cried." christian's face at hearing this is really funny... it's kind of... :0 and his hands are out and he's like :0 . and chris and rami just laugh and laugh. but then he mentions how boring it would be without him, which is very true. plus, i probably would have cried.
so tim takes the designers to some place, and introduces Tiki Barber, a former football player and a Today Show person. yippie. i almost soiled myself on that one. I DON'T GIVE A RATS *** ABOUT A FOOTBALL PLAYER! and neither did most of the designers. they're all women or gay. exept kevin. he knew who the large man was. no one else did. plus jillian.
TIKI WHO?

so they're supposed to make an outfit for tiki to wear on the today show. no one knows how to do menswear. back in the workroom... jack takes off his pants. (...?) then he ties the muslim (muslum? idk, the white fabric used for patterns) around his --waist-- and kit draws cherries on his butt. i love this show...
oh, but jack uses the shorts he was wearing as a pattern, and cuts them up. then he shares the pattern with sweet p and i think victorya. rami is not very happy about it, and you can tell.
Then they get male models! everyone was thrilled. and when i say everyone, i mean everyone minus kevin. i believe that ricky tells his model as soon as he walks in, "take your clothes off". come on ricky! this is a competition, you need to fit your model first... meet your model second...

funny times with christian

so he is the funniest kid i have ever seen. when they go to meet tiki, christian is carrying this GIANT tan bag. it is HUGE. just to show everyone how huge it is, christian sits in it and is carried into the workroom by jack. good teamwork. i almost died laughing. the next day, jack gives christian a piggyback ride in, and sits him right onto the work table.
so christian thinks his model is gorgeous. or beautiful... i can't remember, i'm going off of memory here. christian says fierce, fabulous and sassy all the time. i love it. in one (written) interview with jack, talking about the models, jack says, "christian and i were LOVING IT".

now, the ultimate new adjictive (is that how you spell it? i seriously can't right now...)

ASIAN!

tiki's wife (whatsername) comes in to check on the designers. they say she knows everything about her hubby's style, so she's good. when she's coming in, they have one of the little interview things with christian. here is what he says... "then this gorgeous asian woman came in.... i love asians, they're feirce."

omg. that's me and M's new adjictive (help!) "it's totally asian!" USE IT !

jack. its got crazy stripes, but i guess it's okay. i don't really have much to say about it... he swore on the runway when he won, very grown up... um... yeah.

everybody else

christian's was okay... not a winner, but definatly safe. he sews SUPER fast, like it's crazy. that was good here though, because they had tons to do.

elisa. she didn't feel comfortable watching her model change in front of her, so she stood awkwardly looking in the opposite direction. her husband, who i now know as Moses, is the only one she will "fit intimatly"... okaayy... well, this look is way too casual for the today show i think.

kit. she used navy fleece for the jacket. that's different. she could have won too. she comes from a television background, and knows what looks good on camera

Kevin. pretty good, but something about it looks awkward to me... heidi said that her hubby (seal) would not be allowed to wear that... whatever. what's up with that model's lips though? they're like poofy and purple...

sweet p. this is a hot mess (christian, episode 6) the callar is all wrong and its just... crazy. hard core gross. the tie is also way too long, but she says its the first time she's ever made a tie, or done menswear for that matter.

okay, so, in this episode, heidi announces that they will be designing for a fashion icon and Tim will indroduce said person in the workroom
so they go to the workroom
and it is SARA JESSICA PARKER!!! omg...
so christian is there going "oh my god! oh... my god! ooooh my god!!" in a really high pitched voice and he's clapping and practicly crapping his pants.
but i love him.
chris, on the other hand, is CRYING. real tears. he says that he loved sex and the city, and that was the reason why he moved to new york in the first place. holy poop. can you believe that? get a life and man up! yeah, i like gilmore girls, but i'm not moving to starshallow. i like project runway, but i'm not moving to new york. (yet).
so, basically, everyone freaks out.

the challenge

design a "mass market" design for the line BITTEN for SJP.

plus it's a partner challenge. plus, they need 2 pieces

so they design, then meet SJP to present their design. and you would think that they would want to make a good impression on someone famous... chris is so choked up and nervous that he can't even explain the design, christian asks for a hug (still love him), and elisa is soo confusing about the reversable/polymorphic/tying/hooded cape that SJP seriously has to pretend to tie it around herself. or maybe SJP is just retarded.

so here's the teams. the first person listed is the one who was chosen by SJP as the leader

the last two are like best friends... forever

so everyone's working, getting along pretty well... ricky has "the sickest model"-jack- Lea.. i also love lisa, christian's model, though i don't know why... and kit's "marie antuinette" is cool too

anyways.... elisa. that's it. elisa. she spit marks... ? wh--- i can do algebra, but that, to me, is mind boggling. why SPIT on fabric that you're going to use on someone's clothing!?? she said something about envibing or spiritualizing or something hymalayan about it.

christian thinks his is perfect, as always. he is kinda self - confident, i have to admit. he needs to chill. he IS funny though. he designed a teal dress with this crazy jacket with pleating and stripes, kinda. it's very 80's, and the judges notice right away.

marion and steve are in trouble, and at least steve knows it. they're making this really complicated skirt and a shawl/ ... o crap, i can't think of the name... shoot... oh well, its like a shawl, but its giant and brown. 'nuff said.

victorya and kevin. whatever. it was okay. long shirt/dress and a vest. i loved the vest. it had a racer back, which V said wasn't the original plan, but they liked it. me too. i guess it was sold in stores with the BITTEN line just as promised. good job. whatever.

other crazies

elisa and P made a nice teal dress with the cape. it actually wasn't as crazy as it sounded, and could have won.

rami and jillian worked really well together. they made a shirt/dress too. i wasn't thrilled.

um...jack and ricky made a great red/maroon/ish dress. i really liked it. but the second piece was a woven belt, which maybe lowered the score for them.

the judges didn't like the 80's thing, and SJP said it was more "severe" in person. whatever that means... carmen was asked who she thought should go, and she started crying. c'mon. christian told them that he would go, because he was the leader and she was his sheep. good job christian, i hate it when people don't step up to the plate.

heidi said that marion's looked sad and dirty and "from the basement". GOOD FASHION WORDS HEIDI!! does she have training in big words? marion said (quietly and peacefully) that he should go, and steven agreed. good.

marion. i liked him, i thought that he was kinda creepy and weird, and could posibly become some sort of serial killer looking for revenge on the super holy people in his life who didn't respect him, but i still liked him. he took it very well though, so i think the project runway people are safe from being wacked...

Runway Extraviganza!

so project runway season 4 started on november 14, 2007. good, i changed the post date...

i love it sooo much. man o

so let's see all of the people...

rami: i do NOT like this guy. he's already famous, he shouldn't be there.

i think he should go back to jerusalem. and i don't care if i spelled it wrong

the show should be for starting people's careers, not making them even more famous than they already are because they design for jessica alba!

chris: i think he's funny, but im not crazy about him... i think he'll go crazy with costumes...

christian: i love this kid. he's so funny and i LOVE the crazy hair. i hope he wins

kit: she is also very funny, but not as much on the show. i saw her video submition on

jack. he seems so nice and hes funny too. at first i wasn't sure about him, but now i love him

kevin. he's okay. hes very proud about being the only straight guy there... which brings me too...

ricky! i do not like him either. i do think it's funny when he cries, but hes just... ugh, i don't like him.

victorya: i don't like her either. she's bossy and... boring... she just isn't the person i would want to know. her designs are okay, but i don't like her as a person.

simone: she is the one with the "vision" whatever that is. but she "lost her vision" and that "totally freaks me out". w/e

jillian. at first i thought she was okay... kinda weird. then i saw her home video... SHE IS CRAZY. you just have to watch it cuz i can not explain. its creepy though.

carmen: nice hair. talks funny. weird. that's all i can say. i guess she would be okay, but i didn't get emotionally attached like i did with christian.

steve: he's so quirky that he's cool. the squinty eyes are funny. OH! his video was funny too. his humor was very dry, which some people don't get. (M, u know who you are) i love sarcastic dry witty people, and i don't like it when people don't get it. it bugs me... anyways...

marion. no one really liked him, but i thought he was funny. he too had a hilarious video submision. he says that he's distructive... whatever that means.

sweet p. i hate it when people write "pea" because its not the veggie, its the letter. again, at first i didn't think she was very special, but now i really like her.

um... elisa. crazy. she brought a flower to bryant park on the first day when they met heidi because it was the german's birthday i think... how sweet. she's very hippy dippy granola-y.

christian said and i quote... "she's like all spiritual and, like, in the himalaian mountains." i love that. christian has soooo many quotes its unbelievable, and i love him for it. i want to meet him, to see what he's really like

okay... to the challenge

in bryant park, the designers ran (chris was last, an event that did make me like him, along with feel bad for him) to the fabric to create an outfit showing who they are as a designer

chris- its actually pretty nice, and way different from the costume crowd

flashback

not too long ago, before the show started, all fifteen designers made a small, 3 piece collection and showed them in a show. this was so that not only the top 3 had a fashion show. i liked the idea. simone's collection all had plain colors with lime green jackets and such. that is how i know
