top 8; idol gives back

this week they had to sing inspirational songs
Michael Johns - Dream On
i didn't find it inspirational. he was good. fine. i'm real tired of him.
Syesha Mercado - I Believe
this was by fantasia. so she was compared to that. she's good, but not very memorable. like, the audience doesn't get her.
Jason Castro - Over the Rainbow
this was freakin amazing. he PLAYED THE UKULELE!!!! holy poop! i thought he was the best of the night. it wasn't judy garland, it was some other guy. now, if you don't know who judy garland is, die.
Kristy Lee Cook - Anyway
i found it very inspirational for her because there was a line about how they may say you're forgettable, but you'll sing anyway. omg i laughed, because simon calls her forgettable. hehe. she was surprisingly good though.
David Cook - Innocent
again, not one of those songs that's like, POW! INSPIRATION! but i guess it was okay. i couldn't hear him. that always happens for idol. the music is too loud, and the singers can't be heard. i don't know if it's just my tv or what. he wrote "give back" on his hand and held it out. i found that cheesy, but sweet. it wasn't his best performance though.
Carly Smithson - The Show Must Go On
big rock song. i get it... she's always good, really loud
David Archuleta - Angels
i think he played the piano.... he was good, as always. i'm done with him though. like, i hate him. he is very very very overrated, because he's not as fantastic as everyone says.
Brooke White - You've Got a Friend
weird song, but she was good. her voice does this cracking thing, i kinda like it, but it does get strange.

idol gives back
it was a waste of two and a half hours. except the so you think you can dance dancers were there!!! that made me happy.

results
they have raised so much money it's not even silly.
like wayyy over 60 million. there are good people out there!
i'm not gonna waste any time.
they called them out one by one for the bottom three, but no one was in it... the last three in the back were it. clever!
bottom three:: carly, michael, syesha
goodbye michael johns. apparently america was really mad. i wasn't, i was sick of him.. but he did have fans apparently. and some people thought that because they didn't kick anyone off last year for IGB, they wouldn't this year, but they did.
good riddance.
